About the Church
Wakefield is a small, rural church in New Windsor, Maryland, just a short drive from Westminster, Maryland.
You might be wondering, “Why should I visit Wakefield?” Great question! Let me give you two simple reasons.
First, Wakefield isn’t just a congregation; we are a family. When you visit, we’ll welcome you as an honored guest. If you keep coming, you’ll become part of the Wakefield family too.
Second and most importantly, our focus is on Jesus Christ. While some churches meet to get caught up in politics or withdraw from society, we gather to worship and serve Jesus Christ. Everything we do revolves around Him.
I hope to see you this Sunday! Our morning service starts at 10:30 AM. We also have a kids’ church program and a nursery.
When you come, please introduce yourself. I can’t wait to meet you!

Pastoring is a second career for Pastor Mark. He first served in the U.S. Air Force as a Russian linguist, retiring from active duty in 1995.
He’s been married to Debbie since 1995, and they have two children and three grandchildren.
Pastor Mark is a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan! He was thrilled when the Dawgs won the 2021 & 2022 National Championships!
What We Believe
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
God is one Being, eternally existing in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
Jesus, God the Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He is fully God and fully man. Having lived a perfectly obedient life, He died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead three days later, and now sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven. (John 1:1-19)
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates sinners, and indwells, enlightens, and instructs believers. (John 16:7-15)
Sin has been passed down to all generations since Adam and Eve’s first sin. All mankind needs a Savior. That Savior is Jesus Christ. He has made our salvation possible through His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is not by good works but through personal faith in the Lord Jesus. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9)
